The challenge

Create Sainsbury’s 2021 Christmas campaign.

What we did

With last Christmas not being quite as expected, this year’s campaign celebrates the enjoyment of friends and family coming together and encourages everyone to savour every precious, delicious moment. 

To tell this year’s story, we immerse viewers in a single moment, creating a rich and sentimental snapshot of a classic Christmas. By travelling through and experiencing every detail of the scene, viewers see elements of a familiar Christmas, but from a new perspective, soundtracked by Ella James’ classic At Last. 

The spot is directed by Ninian Doff and produced by Pulse Films.

The 60” film launched across TV, cinema and social and was supported by a print and OOH campaign.
