Welcome to Optimism

Supermarket Sarah launches shoppable window

We’ve teamed up with Supermarket Sarah and The Clothes Club to launch an interactive shoppable window to raise funds for the lovely folks at St Joseph’s Hospice.

Supermarket Sarah, who has created shoppable windows for the likes of Selfridges, John Lewis, Monki and Topshop, has unveiled a specially curated window, featuring public donations, items sourced from second hand vintage shops and pieces from The Clothes Club clothes swap, which took place in our agency basement last week.

Everything featured in the window is available to buy from www.supermarketsarah.com, where shoppers will also be able to find out more about the stories behind the items. All proceeds will go to the wonderful St Joseph’s Hospice, which cares for and supports people with serious illnesses.

Jacqui Kelly’s 20th anniversary celebratory cake

We welcomed the wonderful Jacqui Kelly to our Hanbury St window to create the mother of all cakes as part of our 20th anniversary celebrations.

Jacqui, the founder of Totally Sugar, a London-based sugar studio specialising in
bespoke edible art, is something of a cake master. She holds the Guinness World Record for biggest cake (a massive 10m x 12m) and has a client-list which includes Harrods and HRH Queen Elizabeth II.

We briefed Jacqui to create a mammoth celebratory cake, paying homage to Wieden+Kennedy London’s most famous work. In just a few short days, the confectionary queen whipped up a sprawling sponge, topped with nods to our wonderful clients, past and present. From Three’s moonwalking pony, to Nike’s St Wayne Rooney, and Honda’s perfume bottle to TK Maxx’s snow-spraying bazookas, the cake was a true trip down memory lane.

Our MD Helen did the honours, by cutting the cake and sharing it with the agency. Massive thanks to the talented Jacqui, who we loved having in the agency for a very special occasion.
