Iain Tait on his ‘wonky’ path to creativity

W+K London ECD Iain Tait sat down with Creative Review to discuss his introduction to the tech and creative industries, which he describes as “meandering at best, downright wonky at worst”.

The interview spans his brief foray into engineering, being the go-to creator of Edinburgh-centric websites and how he fulfilled his ambition of working “in the Internet”.

“I’m grateful for my mixed-up journey,” says Iain. “I didn’t really know what I loved. So I improvised. I stumbled around doing lots of different jobs on my way (I’ve tried my hand at being a bad account manager, a low-rent strategist, a disorganised producer, a cack-handed designer, and a really terrible programmer) – I learned something through each of those mistakes.”

The Curious Confectioner’s comes to Hanbury St

This Christmas, we’ve handed over our public-facing window to students from The London College of Communication who have created The Curious Confectioner’s.

Come and visit the Hanbury Street sweet shop over the Christmas break and and choose from three festive flavours, with all proceeds going to our friends at St Joseph’s Hospice.

Shout out to the LCC’s Hannah Woodall, Hannah Mayall, Lakhi Soni, Phoebe Man, Laura Maria and Adamandia Pashalidi for creating the window with the help of W+K London’s Jeng Au, Dee Fenning, Will Lancaster and Tomas Coleman.
