With research finding that more than a third of people will end up sending replaced items to landfill this Christmas, without considering passing on or selling second-hand, Gumtree is calling for a ‘Waste-less Winter’.

The film, directed by Enes Guc, demonstrates the scale of electrical waste generated, with 100k tonnes of electricals and appliances destined for waste facilities over the winter period, enough to go four times higher than the International Space Station.

The campaign encourages the UK to give their unwanted electrical items a second life by encouraging responsible retail and is launching online and across social platforms. Find out more here.
