Welcome to Optimism

(Charitably) embracing (sugary) failure

Here at W+K we talk about embracing failure. Sometimes things just don't work out, no matter how much you plan, research, prepare or test. Sadly Joe's attempt to smash last week's Chupa Chupa challenge is a case in point.

But here at Welcome to Optimism, we like to see the positive in defeat. £236 raised for Cancer Research in the build up to next Friday's pink celebrations is a mega achievement. To Milky and everyone who donated, we salute you.

From this Friday to next, we'll be thinking about breasts. Specifically what we can do to help save them from cancer.

A series of 'pink' events in the agency kicked off today. Milky, our very own artist in residence on reception, is undertaking the Chupa Chup challenge. And not with just any old Chupa Chup. A giant pink one. 75 times the size of your regular handheld lollipop.

It would be rude not to document this bravery in the name of fundraising. So there'll be a time lapse to share with you all once the feat has been achieved.

We've already collected over £150 for Breast Cancer Research. It is unlikely we'll win any Chupa Chup business off the back of this but it's all in the name of charideee! If you want to donate, pop in and put a penny in the jar.
