Welcome to Optimism

from Bhutan

I've only been away a week and, as I sit here in a cowshit-smelling but internet-enabled shed in Paro, Bhutan, I see that the blog has turned into a fashion-tip nightmare. Anyway, in Bhutan this month, shoulders are nowhere but national dress is still huge, usually accessorised with a weatherbeaten complexion and a yak.
Keep up the good work, folks.

Well,
tomorrow is our final day at Wieden + Kennedy after nearly three months
and what a blast it has been. We’ve had the chance to work with some of
the most truly creative and inspiring people. We’ve worked on all sorts
of projects, from big clients such as Nike & Fairtrade to the all
consuming pitch work. They really want you to get stuck in and produce
good ideas.

The nice thing about W+K is that everyone is approachable and will
always give you the time of day –  the top dogs, right down to our
little chin-wags with the cleaners in the morning, There’s always
something going on, mini exhibits, tea & cake, numerous
celebrations and finding out the next big thing out of WK… we’ll
certainly miss it.

They’ll already know, but just wanted to say a big thank you to the
guys at WK London for giving us the chance to work on some amazing
projects and hopefully we’ll see you again.
