Wieden + Kennedy ‘winner of winners’ at ANNAs press awards

At the ANNAs national press awards this evening Wieden + Kennedy picked up the top prize ‘winner of winners’ for the Honda ‘back to work’ campaign.

The Awards for National Newspaper Advertising (ANNAs) celebrate and reward the best in newspaper advertising, both in print and online.

At the ceremony this evening Wieden + Kennedy picked up the top prize 'winner of winners' for the Honda 'back to work' campaign.

The campaign marked the reopening of Honda's Swindon factory after a temporary closure last year. It praised workers at the plant and discussed the importance that reopening the factory would have to other businesses in the region and the economy in general in these challenging times.

We also won the creative media partnership award (in partnership with carat) for Lurpak and the 'Saturday is Breakfast Day' campaign.

Nike T90 Laser III

Our latest film for Nike promotes the T90 Laser III boots which are all about power and accuracy.  The innovation in this brightly coloured green and red footwear is designed to help strikers hit the target so who better to showcase their pinpoint skills than the Premier League's current top goalscorer, Wayne Rooney.

We see him taking on the trickery of lasers which dart across a goalmouth, forming neat holes for him to score through.  Wayne has the skill to beat the rays, even when they are controlled by Liverpool's Fernando Torres who, as a world class player himself, fully understands how to put Rooney through his paces.

Since the film broke on Soccer AM, it has been tearing up the internet and now goes live on TV in the second leg of the Carling Cup semi-final as Man U host Man City.

Maybe Wayne will score another 4 in 90 minutes in his new boots?
