‘wrong sort of ash’ strands W+K team in Finland

Helsinki contingent

Back row L-R: Gene, Nev, Javier, Alex, Ralph. Front row: Daisy and David.

Members of the Wieden + Kennedy Nokia team have now been stuck in Helsinki since the middle of last week as a result of icelandic volcanic ash-related transport chaos across Europe. We're trying to keep our spirits up, but a few days more of this and we'll probably start killing and eating each other.

Srijib

Srijib from W+K Delhi.

Srijib's visa has run out, so he's hoping to be deported ASAP.

Choir
A random choir.

These guys appeared and started serenading people in a bar in which we happened to be sheltering from falling toxic ash.

New L Gallery Exhibition

We have a fabulous new exhibit in the L Gallery this week courtesy of Simone Moessinger entitled 'We keep messages'

Here is what Simone has to say about it:

"Messages We Keep.

In this digital age we rarely hold on to a text, email or much less voicemail.

Still these seemingly meaningless, erasable messages can mean so much to us and looking forward they’re actually all we’ll have, or actually not have.

I just wanted to find ways to commemorate them and then send them back to the original recipients to keep.

This is a collection of some of these messages."
