Stuart Smith, who did Battersea and Hyde Park, then ran home to Balham (!) writes:

Beautiful day.

Hyde Park much harder course than Battersea.

Dsc00789

Great atmosphere (especially Hyde Park).

Some (young) guy collapsed 50 metres from the finish.

Dsc00794

Last KM at Hyde Park all uphill, all visible in front of you.

Great crowds in Hyde Park

Dsc00797

Someone ran in a gorilla suit (with his red race top on top)

Dsc00810

Funny ‘Oz Aerobics’ style warm-ups

Dsc00784

People chatting in the first few K. No one chatting in the final few K.

Dsc00811

Confused onlookers, being swamped by a sea of red.

Lots of food stands at the start (in Hyde Park), but they were all those really grotty burger and hot dog stands you get outside football grounds. They certainly weren’t selling Lucozade Sport or bananas.

This is our Office Manager Natalie with her dad Dennis. Dennis came in to put up some wallpaper for us in the lobby of the ‘Sherlock Holmes’ room.

We wanted paper that was old fashioned, but with a bit of a twist. Lucy, one of our art directors, found this at Nog (182 Brick Lane, around the corner from our building):

Old hunting scenes have been painted over to turn the horses into rocking horses.
