We had the Honda F1 team in here yesterday for a day to talk about the Honda brand. They brought Jenson Button’s helmet. Frere couldn’t resist trying it on.

Yesterday was Shrove Tuesday or, as it’s known to most of us here, Pancake Day. Or, if you’re in New Orleans, Fat Tuesday.

The Great Spitalfields Pancake Race was held at Dray Walk, just round the corner from Wieden + Kennedy’s offices, where teams of four people in costume ran with a pan and flipped a pancake at various stages of the run.

There was a great turn-out and the teams in the latter stages of the race were becoming very competitive – there was sabotage and a hamstring injury.

All for the grand prize of an engraved frying pan.
