Discovered while idly surfing that we won at the Epica awards. Which is nice.
Epica is the ceremony judged by the journalists from the European trade press. Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam won the Film Epica D’Or for Coca-Cola ‘Happiness Factory’.

They also won in film for Nike Air Max ‘Endure’ and Coca-Cola ‘First taste’. We at W+K London won for Honda Civic ‘Choir’ and Honda ‘Impossible Dream’. There were also a number of silvers for W+K: in film for Coke ‘First taste’ and Nike Air Max ‘Defy’ and in print for the Coke Side of Life campaign and Nike ACG Fall ’05.

The tally of winners made W+K first equal most awarded network with DDB. However, it’s worth pointing out that DDB’s European network consists of (I think) 54 offices. Ours has just two – Amsterdam and London.

They’re going YouTube mad at the moment at Wieden + Kennedy Portland, posting all sorts of bits and pieces of video. Here’s a nice little film they’ve put together about people at the agency. "Advertising is a lot easier than breaking a horse."
