Welcome to Optimism

sour new video project seeks your support

Hi, all creative enthusiasts!

I’m Masa, at Wieden + Kennedy New York, and I’m currently working on an interactive music video project which needs your support.

It’s for a Japanese band called SOUR, and you may have seen the previous video (above) that I made with webcams for $0.

This time I’m making a video that creates a personalized experience based on your social network status (FB, Twitter).
But it requires complex programming, that it can’t be made with in the $0 budget anymore. I must pay my coding buddies in Japan…

So I have posted this project onto Kickstarter, in hopes that we can get support from the world.

Please check the link out, and if you can, please support by backing our project… Any amount is welcomed!

W+Kurator

On Tuesday evening we unveiled our new global art production blog W+Kurator.   Headed up out of Portland, we are excited to unveil this exciting new resource.

The primary goal of this blog is to provide inspiration and keep everyone within the w+k network updated on artists' trends on a global scale.

We hope it will serve as a great creative resource and archive for the agency, showcasing the best artists and covering a wide variety of genres: fine art, photography, illustration, motion, digital art, painting, cgi and much more. with time, it will also serve as a curated search engine featuring compelling content.

Curious to see art  specific to the cultures in our tokyo or shanghai offices?  Interested in galleries and shows around london?    Want to  know what kind of twisted artwork our amsterdam office  is into?  Looking for behind-the-scene's action from a shoot in New York?  Want to share with us who some of your favorite artists  are?   Curious to know more about in-house artists within each  w+k office? We now have access to all of this and more.

In addition to sharing our favorite artwork, W+Kurator offers an ongoing listing of links, blogs, photography sites, digital stock content providers, museums and galleries in key cities.

Because this information is proprietary to W+K,  it's important to know that this is a  private blog and is therefore  accessed only via the w+k intranet.

A big thanks to everyone involved in making this happen.
