Tesco wins Retail Advertising Campaign Of The Year at World Retail Awards

The World Retail Awards, a global platform that recognises and promotes retail excellence, have chosen the Tesco Christmas 2012 campaign created by Wieden+Kennedy London for their Retail Advertising Campaign of the Year.

'It's the little things that make Christmas' was the first campaign created by Wieden+Kennedy since winning the Tesco business in 2012, comprising TV, print, in-store and on-line executions and focused on the little things that build up to make Christmas a feeling, not just a season.

A renegade.

A maverick.

A trail blazer.

Was bold enough to ask a girl for her number at a Starbucks. 

"I'll have a grande soy late and your digits please honey"

And thought, I could text her.

I could even perhaps call her.

No.

I'm going to send her a hazy selfie of myself looking wistfully into the camera before gently brushing my face with my hand and furtively smiling while Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home" plays in the background.

That'll do the trick.

And you know what son? 

You nailed it. 

You well and truly nailed it.

I'm clapping you right now.

Genuinely on my feet and applauding.
