Welcome to Optimism

New year, New faces

Now the festivities are over it's time to get back to the grind. What better way to do that than to throw some new faces into the bubbling W+K cauldron of talent.

James Laughton

First up is James Laughton, who joins our bustling TV department as a Producer. Previously at BBH, we have heard he is the go-to man for a last minute voice over. Looking forward to hearing his silky tones around the office.

IndianathePlanna

This happy lady is our new Planner on Arla International. Her name is Indiana Matine, Indie for short. Indie joins us from Naked where she worked on all sorts of good stuff from Activia cat food to Whiskas yogurts. Fun fact; Indie's French. Bonjour.

Will hunt

A big warm welcome to Will Hunt. He's joined our Halls team as an Account Director. He's come fresh from WCRS looking after Sky, and before that helping out with those Meerkats at VCCP. Simples.

Lainey Richardson

Rounding off the group, for this week at least, is Lainey Richardson. Lainey has actually been freelancing with us on and off for 6 months but finally joins our WRACK team permanently as an edit assistant. We're very pleased she's made the jump from freelancing to become a fully fledged member of the W+K family.

W+K London Appointed to UKTV’s agency roster

We are delighted to announce that Wieden+Kennedy London has been appointed to UKTV's agency roster for creative communications. UKTV reaches over 42 million viewers per month through a portfolio of ten distinctive television channels including Dave, Watch, Alibi, Gold, Good Food and Yesterday. We're looking forward to working with UKTV, an imaginative creative partner whose industry is so close to our own.

Neil Christie, Managing Director at W+K London says, “We're delighted to be working with the team at UKTV. We spent all of Christmas watching telly in preparation.”

Simon Michaelides, Marketing Director at UKTV says, “I'm very excited to be adding W+K to our roster of agencies. With such an outstanding creative record, they're ideally placed to help unlock the full potential of our key brands and shows, and maintain UKTV's consistent track record of growth in an increasingly competitive environment.”
