W+K Named Network Of The Year 2010 – Campaign Magazine

Wieden + Kennedy is Campaign magazine’s Network of the Year 2010.

They said ‘Its not the biggest, but W+K laid strong claims to being the best network, and producing two of the finest global advertising campaigns in 2010’.

W+K’s ‘Write the Future’ campaign for Nike was named Campaign of the Year 2010.  They said ‘Only one brand won this year’s FIFA World Cup – and that was Nike.  This was thanks to a three minute film that mixed fantasy with football to such a degree that it became a global phenomenon and trounced rivals such as Adidas in terms of positioning’.

Well nor exactly top of everything, it just looks that way on the scan above. But we did have four out of Time magazine's top ten ads of 2010, which is pretty damn good or, as they describe it, "a true cultural phenomenon". And (below) our Old Spice and Nike work showed up in Contagious magazine's 'Most contagious' of 2010.

Update: YouTube has just published its top brand videos of the year and numbers one and two are… you guessed it.

AdFreak says:

Google has crunched the numbers and come up with its list of the top 10 brand videos of the year. It's no surprise that the Old Spice guy seduced his way to the top, with "The Man Your Man Could Smell Like" garnering 24.2 million global views. (His number would be even higher if YouTube counted all the views his reply videos got.) Wieden + Kennedy took the top two slots, taking home silver for Nike's epic "Write the Future" spot, viewed 21.2 million times.
