Mel on tour

Clientele

Our Creative Assistant and occasional rock star Mel is on tour at the moment in the USA with her band The Clientele. She writes:

Hello!

Sorry it’s taken so long to send a hello to everyone; it takes a while to get settled into the strange pace of life of staying up till 4am, sleeping in, then spending the whole day in a smelly van until the next venue appears. It’s been great fun so far. Every gig is so different – we’ve had rowdy crowds, oh so quiet ones…one we even managed to blow up the sound system….well, I stamped on a cable in time to the music and blew a fuse! We’re in Memphis at the moment on our first gig free night since arrival. I think we’re off on a tour of Ardent studios where Big Star recorded – that band is so great. The record seems to be going down well, we’ve sold lots of merch and apparently are today number one download on emusic. Wahoo! Had great fun in Nashville, I knew more people in the venue we played than I do in London, Lampchop guys were there too, which was nice.

this is Ronnie

Ronnie

Today Ronny Harmes starts with us as the new Front of House Manager at W+K London. Ronny will be overseeing reception, working and sitting with Donna. He will also be taking over a lot of the office facilities business from Nat Field. Over the next month or so he is going to whip the office and our people into shape – in a nice way, of course. Which is good news, judging from Ben’s remarks:

Who’s in charge of the camomile tea situation? It’s a debacle.
