Day one for me of Hyper Island interactive masterclass that we've put most of w+k through.
Above: facilitators Roger (aid worker, coach, 'lonely wolf') and Petter (kung fu geek). Aim is to accelerate the understanding, embrace and use of cutting edge digital thinking and doing throughout the agency. And have some fun.
 Unfortunately i had to keep ducking out, but so far:
– learning via chaos / unpredictability
– walnut model (content / process)
– Colman and rodents: a worry
– coffee was tepid
– Renny Gleeson rocks
– this is bloody brilliant: internet archive
– we need to sort out the acoustics in the 'flexible space'. And call it something less shit than 'flexible space'.

More tomorrow.

Sometimes, you have meetings that are like wading through sludge while someone fires an air rifle at your head. And you're wearing a rucksack filled with rocks. And you're wearing no pants and everyone's laughing at you. Those are the bad meetings. The ones you just want to end so that you can do something much more fulfilling like get back to your desk and delete your spam.
And then there are good meetings, where you realise it's all coming together, that the energy is positive, that everyone is smiling, that things make sense, that – by god! – our people are smart and talented and funny and charismatic and passionate and that – yes! – we're not working, we're enjoying ourselves! This is fun! This bloody meeting is fun!!

We had one of those meetings today. Felt good.
