Among the possible futures we heard about and discussed were…

Future (a)

2009: all about apps and the death of the web page

2010: social media goes mainstream

2011: the cloud: ubiquitous computing – always connected to your network

2012: immersive graphic experiences

2013: biohacking

Future (b)

2009: communications (online advertising)

2010: conversations (engaging with communities)

2011: participation (development of new functionality, new partnerships)

2012: conversion – "sweaty and boring" -(measurement, data, SEO, ROI)

2013: integration (global mash-up of services, apps, geohacking, building personalised perceived worlds, distinction between real and online world becomes blurred.)

2014: revolution ( sometimes easier / better to do things digitally than in the 'real world')

Needless to say, we all loved the idea of livinga nd wokring in a future where within a few years we'd be biohacking ourselves and enhancing our bodies, minds and talents with impanted tech. Loved the idea that the IT department would be downloading extra memory direct into W+K staffers' brains: "GAAV! My idea-generating app keeps crashing!"

Digitalization = societal shift = new industrial revolution.
Digital will fuck you up. (Good.)
Go digital or die.
Networks = recommendation engines.
Facebook "pages" – get one. Work in progress.

Seems to be just illegible scrawl after this.

Today was really good. Lots of thought-provoking, new, actionable stuff. Exciting!
