Welcome to Optimism

Nexus IRL

We were propelled into the world of all things real and virtual this week when we were treated to a talk by our friends at Nexus, ECD, Chris O’Reilly and Head of Nexus Interactive Arts, Luke Ritchie.

Nexus Studios has won the Cannes Grand Prix prize….twice, and creates much talked about work in film, digital and installations so we were very excited to be guided through an exploration into the theme of storytelling through technology.

Some of this included a collaboration with The White House, developing an immersive 360 project, some rather innovative VR campaigns plus some of their technology prototypes to name but a few.

Cheers guys!

Ages of us

At our office on Hanbury street, we are currently displaying a photography project by Dylan Collard entitled Ages of Us.

W+Kers are also being given the chance to participate in Dylan’s ongoing project, so watch out for a familiar face popping up in his exhibition soon.

Dylan Collard says about his project;

Ages of Us is an interest in the process of ageing, the effects of that unstoppable process on our physical being and how our attitude, conscience, hopes, aspirations and desires change as we go through the stages of life. Age is one of the great and incurable mysteries of science.  We are told that lotions, potions, diets and lifestyle changes can slow, change and increase the effects and duration of this process but nothing can halt the inevitable destination.
