Welcome to Optimism

office refurb – phase one

3rd floor

The first part of our office refurb is complete. It's looking pretty good so far. These pics show the third floor of 16 Hanbury Street, now occupied, with teams working in groups rather than from a fixed desk.
Front table
Guardian desk

Kitchen table

Best view in the house is from the kitchen table, looking out over Spitalfields rooftops towards Christchurch.

Lockers

Everyone gets a locker so they have somewhere to store their personal stuff.
Nokia table

Danny Wallace gives a cheery wave to the passing photographer.
Squat

This area still looks a bit sad. Decor: squat / crack house. Furniture: Yes, those are bloody beanbags. But they're ironic beanbags.
