It's the month of December and what better
way to honour the festive season than with a traditional Nativity display?
Well, with help from various staff here at W+K, we have done it!

However,
traditional it certainly isn’t (nothing is ever ordinary in this place). Never
have we seen Nativity elicit comments such as, ‘My dear God, what’s happened
there?’ and ‘Hmm…slightly controversial’.

Hardly surprising, given the nature of
our characters. This unorthodox ensemble, on a straw base, set against a starry
night sky, makes for one unsettling scene.

We expected nothing less, though, so
big thanks to:

Lisa Jelliffe for her humongous
Mary, Emma Wright for her unusual Joseph, Chloe for her dolly Jesus, Neil
Christie for his illuminated Angel Gabriel, KJ, Kirsten and Jody for their take
on the sheep, Anders for his creative Donkey…

…Sammy + Joseph for their scary
goats, Caroline and Angharad for their shepherds, KJ, Ronny and Joseph
for their weird Wise Men, Emma Simmons for her cute Inn Keeper and
Leanne for her traditional old stable.

And to top this, we now have a
beautifully decorated tree in Reception ready for our secret Santa gifts to go under.
These will be given out at our Stars in their Eyes Christmas party next week.

It's been a busy few months here at W+K London and we've realised there are quite a few new members to the Wieden + Kennedy family that we haven't introduced to you yet. So, please give a warm welcome to:

Charlotte Evans

Charlotte joins us as an AD straight from DDB where she
worked amongst other things on Harvey Nichols 'Walk of Shame' and Flora.

Katja Dienel

Katja joins us as an AD straight from WK Amsterdam
where she worked on LOTS of things during her time there.

Luisa Bundy

Luisa joins us as an Account Exec from Grey London. She
ran an incredibly successful toy company in her teens and whilst a student used
to run the reception at a 'top' gentlemen's club.

Ang Thomas

Ang joins us as an Account Manager from DDB (so should be able to provide background
information on all of her fellow WK/DDB-ers) on Flora, Marmite and VW.

Maya Roberts

Maya joins us as Head of Studio and
Design. Maya has spent the last
eight years at our Portland office, latterly as senior studio manager. Her
background is in design and it’s good to know she also has a qualification in
glassblowing.

She’s moved her family and her life to London to be with us and
we are very pleased indeed that she’s finally here.

Rhys Chapman

Rhys joins Creative
Services as a Project Manager. He was previously running
creative services at Ogilvy Action and before that started his advertising
career at Grey.

Avril Furness + Miles Carter

Avril and Milo join us from Fallon London where they worked on Orange – including a lot of the recent  Gold Spots – Cadbury and Skoda for the last two years.

And last but by no means least, please welcome:

Caroline Riis

Caroline has been here for the last six months, first as a Placement and then as a Freelancer Copywriter. We are really pleased to announce that after much hard graft, she has joined the Creative team full time. Her commitment and talent
have shone through during this period.  Gratulerer!!
