Welcome to Optimism

Nic Joly exhibits in the L-Gallery

Nic Joly - Flyer

This month in our tiny little
L-Gallery we have Nic Joly exhibiting his beautiful miniature model
people.

Having
started out crafting playful little scenes around his home for his children to
stumble upon, making these little scenes soon turned into a passion and a way for him to comment on
how he sees the world.

Nic says,  “As we go through the journey that
is our lives we come across situations and make observations about what we see
and feel. With my 'Underfoot' collection I strive to highlight my own
observations and thoughts about my journey, and things I have seen. Each
miniature sculpture work is framed in a museum quality, glass-fronted box
frame. These frames turn the works into small, well-hung pieces of theatre.”

We are loving Nic's work here at
W+K, and even more so since we found out he earned himself a Blue Peter
badge. (Not that we are jealous, of course.)

Welcome to the Internet: 15th March

Slide1

This week, like most others, people have done things on the Internet and others have watched and admired what has gone on before their eyes. Like most other weeks also, I have cast an eye over these nuggets of Internet and also like most other weeks I have felt a duty to write a little bit about it.

Pepsi have released a new 'viral' on the tinterweb featuring a famous American driver lampooning the hell out of a used car salesman. It seems to have struck a chord as it has amassed a whopping 14 million views in three days. Blimey.

We've also been treated (loose use of the term there) to the new video from a group of Australian youths called The Janoskians. If you haven't heard of them before, they're basically what you get if you crossed Jackass with One Direction. They appear to share about three brain cells between the four of them, and go around shouting 'dick' at old people and jumping out of bushes. Saying that, they're all probably really rich and incredibly successful. Screw it, I'm in the wrong business. I've been due a career change.

Some other stuff happened as well which you can catch in this thingy here:
