Tony's time was perfectly respectable but he wasn't pleased to be beaten by Shay.
All of which no doubt helped contribute to London being the second-fastest city in the world! Mexico City – what happened?!

That's what besnooded pop midget Nik Kershaw sang on 1984's 
'Human Racing'. 

Insightful though he was, could even Nik have predicted the scale of last night's event – the Nike 10K Human Race?  It was the world's biggest ever running event with tens of thousands of runners taking part in 25 cities round the world…
