TK Maxx puts the adventure back into gifting

This Christmas, TK Maxx is encouraging shoppers to turn off the gifting auto pilot and gift more adventurously.

Gift Different, which launches on TV on Nov 12, features a daredevil gifter, affectionally known as TK, who is on a very specific mission: to gift like he’s never gifted before. Sick and tired of the same old gifts from the same old shops, the festive hero skis off-piste on an alpine adventure in Gift Different, the latest iteration of the brand’s Ridiculous Possibilities platform.

Somesuch’s Sam Hibbard directed the ad, putting a mountainous spin on the TK Maxx’s colourful cinematic style. The spot is soundtracked is Maurice Ravel’s Boléro, famous for accompanying Torvill and Dean’s iconic figure skating performance in the 1984 Olympics. The DOP was Rob Hardy, of Ex Machina fame.

Cravendale launches ‘It’s Not Milk’ campaign

Arla Cravendale has launched its latest advertising campaign, ‘It’s Not Milk’, celebrating that not all milk is created equal.

The campaign shines a spotlight on Arla Cravendale’s filtered milk, which makes it pure, longer-lasting and nicer-tasting and tells viewers that Cravendale is not milk, it’s fresh milk that’s filtered for purity.

Led by a 30’ TVC, the campaign whizzes through unusual situations where various people, ranging from a pair of tennis commentators to a clumsy robber to a milky silicon valley CEO and even a (familiar) cat with thumbs, repeatedly state ‘IT’S NOT MILK’. The spot, directed by Conor Byrne and produced by Hungry Man, ends on a farmer who breaks the format for consumers saying: “it’s not milk, it’s fresh milk that’s filtered for purity.”
