TONIGHT: ALL EARS returns

Our friends at ALL EARS Storytelling return TONIGHT with its third evening of inspiring stories from real people.

Speakers, gathering for the evening’s theme of sex, include:

Dr Kate Hardy worked for five years with AMMAR, the female sex workers' union in Argentina. Kate will tell the story of the unfolding phenomenon in a country of the South, where sex work is an increasingly important element of economic survival for individuals, households and nation-states. She will focus on the everyday lives of street sex workers, the strategies they have employed to overcome marginalisation and the resilience and bravery they have shown in doing so.

Madam Becky Adams has spent the last 20 years running brothels in the Home Counties. Convent educated, her story of middle class prostitution, police harrasement and fleeing the UK to pick walnuts in France is both witty and thought provoking. The truth really is stranger than fiction.

Emma Sayle is one of the world’s leading ‘sextrepreneurs’ and was voted 71st in Time Out’s 2005 top movers & shakers, topping Madonna’s 74th position. She has made her name as a top upmarket adult party organiser and adult PR, representing clients from Erotica to Ron Jeremy to Cynthia Payne. At ALL EARS, Emma will share her story of launching the Killing Kittens parties to address the demand for decadent, hedonistic female focused parties.

ALL EARS’ February event will be held at The Paradise, Kensal Green W10. The Paradise is a 5 minutes walk from Kensal Green tube station, 10 minutes from the Overground and on bus routes 6, 18, 28, 52, 187, 228 and 452.

shoot for international women’s day

Photo-1

On Friday we gave over the event space in our building (and some photogenic W+Kers) for an International Women's Day shoot.  International Women's Day (8 March) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. This year is its 100th year birthday and the theme will be around raising the debate around inequality between men and women. W+K creative team Dan and Ray are helping out with the campaign.
