we have a great yard out the back of our building. you’d never know it was there from the lane behind us. we don’t have a lawn mower though – last week we had two guys cut the grass with scissors. not joking!
we’ve run out of room already so will take meetings anywhere we can – the stairs, outside. probably doesn’t help that the place is full of paper sculptures built by Liana. we like them though.
we have an agency dog. and have been out karaoke-ing. fun.

Youngguns

An online game has been created by an outfit called truth or double dare. You play the ‘young guns’ of advertising (such as wieden + kennedy) and do battle against the old guard of the big holding companies – WPP, Publicis, etc, by throwing PCs and things at them. The holding companies are all wee men in grey suits. The young guns are casually dressed. W+K gets a dodgy red hoody. You can find the game here.

The game is fun and aims to make a point about the inability of old school agencies to adapt to new channels and new competition. The only problem, from a ‘young gun POV’, is that both times I played it, the young guns were ultimately crushed by the sheer numbers of the old guard. Bad omen?
