Dan the man, our founder, The Wiedenmeister, talks about  how ‘Just do it’ came about. An excerpt from a forthcoming CNBC documentary in the US.  Interesting that something that has undeniably made a big impact on popular culture over the last 25 years started out as a thought to tie together a  bunch of disparate stuff in the short term. But I guess it’s often the way in this business that you can’t predict the influence that something will have until it’s out there in the real world. Whatever Millward Brown might try to persuade you about predictive norms.

problem playground: behind the scenes

Our new ‘problem playground’ commercial for Honda (see below) has generated a bit of debate, at least amongst the chattering classes of adland: ‘brilliant’ ? Or ‘bollocks’?  Whatever us advertising tossers think, the big question is whether we can provoke similarly  strong views amongst real car buyers. Anyway, here’s a short film that gives a bit of background on the thinking behind the TV ad and how it was made.
