Welcome to Optimism

It’s fashion sweetie. Mwah, mwah!

This weekend saw the Nokia team hang with the celebs at London Fashion Week, everyone from Girls Aloud to the Queen of British Fashion, Vivienne Westwood.

Viv

We hot footed it down to the Red Bull Fashion Factory on Saturday to check out the hot new designer Hannah Marshall – Balmain shoulders ahoy. This was followed by the celeb favourite PPQ and their Adidas party full of Hoxton geeks. Sunday saw Viv’s popular Red Label show. Whoever said fashion was beautiful has clearly never seen a pack of fashionistas fighting for seats! A fantastic collection and much comment on Geri ‘Ginger Spice’ Halliwell’s very short skirt and very high VW platforms. Fantastic after party with lots of boys in skirts and great music, ensuring we partied into the early hours.

We were actually at Fashion Week to do some work for Nokia; live streaming the shows from the catwalk as part of the Fashion Factory event space and capturing all the action for a mini fashion doc to be show on Grazia Daily later this week. We’ve been working with the fabulously talented Felder Felder twins, whose sexy rock chic clothes are worn by the likes of Alison Mosshart, to capture the in’s and out’s of LFW. We’ve shot them prepping the show, casting the impossibly thin and tall models and uber producer Arthur Baker recording a special track for the catwalk show with New Order’s Peter Hook and the singer Duke Spirit. We were also there backstage on the night, capturing the make up and hair and then the fabulous show all on a Nokia N86 8MP.  Check out the trailer for the documentary;

Back to earth with a bump today.

lycra city

The Honda Account team (Alex, Ryan & Laura) got a group of fellow W+Kers to ride the Tour of Britain London leg at the weekend consisting of a 20km bike ride around Central London. The highlight of the day was Alex's rather fetching matching lycras, bike & helmet.

All got around in good time, Alex lived up to his outfit by flying round. Stu says it wasn't a race. Ryan's hangover hardly dented his time at all.

The boys got their competitive juices flowing ever further when they were offered the chance to race on a tandem bike in order to blow up some inflatable dolls. Somehow Rich & Ryan won. Good day out & money raised for Prostate Cancer, can't complain.
