Cardboard citizens ACT NOW

Donna writes:

Last night Cardboard Citizens youth theatre group ACT NOW came to
use our event space to showcase their experiences of homelessness through short plays and
monologues to a small audience.

They presented short scenes and monologues based on their experiences of
homelessness, some of which were very moving and others very funny. I now see
why these theatre groups are so important as they give these young people a
chance to express how they feel about their personal situations and how they
feel society views them. Sharing their experiences with others shows them that
they are not alone.
Without these groups I'm unsure how some would
cope.

It was truly inspirational and I was amazed at the talent.

Re: All good Donns – I read it all this time.

Comprend?

Yesterday Dollar and Wiseman from our planning deptment spoke to a large group of French high school students on 'What is Advertising?'.  It quickly transpired that 90% of the audience were unable to speak English but Dollar and Wiseman won them over with prizes of chocolate buttons for 'guess the brand from the logo' and Nike Football images.  Only a couple of sleepers out of 65, so not too bad a result.
