Bicycles have the power

We had another
inspiring talk this time by Adam Walker from Magnificent Revolution.
Magnificent Revolution (MR) is a not-for-profit education project based in
artists, musicians, designers, ecologists, and engineers, MR has flourished
into a cross-disciplinary organisation working in education, ecology,
engineering, design, art, music and film.
MR aims to help people understand their energy use, illustrating the links
between power production and climate change. They use bicycle power
generators as educational tools in schools, colleges and communities, showing
people how many bikes it takes to power household appliances.
Along with this they have created bicycled powered sound systems and cinemas.
Below is a picture of us having a go on the bike showing us how much pedal power
goes into lighting a light bulb.
