'Can freelance digital creatives work successfully with big, traditional agencies?'

On 12th November, W+K London will be contributing to Internet Week https://www.internetweekeurope.com/events/428 with an open discussion on this matter.

Our event 'Speedboats and Supertankers' will take place at 4pm here at the agency on Hanbury Street, E1.  Speakers include Dan Hon (Six to Start http://www.sixtostart.com, W+K), Joel Gethin Lewis (Hellicar and Lewis http://www.hellicarandlewis.com, OpenFrameworks), Mike Bennett (Oil Studios http://www.c2h6.com/index.php) and Andy Cameron (Antirom http://www.antirom.com, W+K).

Most importantly, we would like to hear what you think from either side of the fence.  Follow the link  https://www.internetweekeurope.com/events/428 to find out more and contact Donna at [email protected] if you'd like to be put on the guestlist to join the debate.

Drinks & snacks provided!

Kate

Above: Kate joined us today as the new Planning Assistant, replacing Fern, who has moved across to become an account exec.

She’ll be helping out with all things Planning, as well as taking over the diary management of Paul & Kev.

She’s previously worked in events and charity administration, and she has a degree in African history.

Below: Jim & Toby.

Jim Hilson
Toby Allen

They started today.  Creative department.  Ex BBH.  Done some seriously excellent stuff in the past, including the Levi's 'Bike' spot and Barnardo's 'Turnaround' campaign:

No doubt they will do some more seriously excellent stuff here.

Outside advertising, Toby has just graduated from the Faber and Faber Academy for Young Novelists, and Jim has graduated as a Dad.

Toby said, 'It's the perfect time to be joining W+K.  Not only are they doing great advertising, they are seeking to go beyond advertising altogether.  We hope to play a big part in both'.
