Welcome to Optimism

Andy
Our very own Andy Cameron spoke at the D&AD President Simon Sankayara’s Pecha Kucha event at Logan’s Hall last night. We’re not going to share all 20 slides – you had to be there – but the first one is worth a peek.
The theme of Andy’s presentation was ‘It’s not technology, it’s what you do with it.’
The picture above was taken in 1983 in the Sudan, in a village called Muglad, on the borders of Darfur. The village didn’t have water or electricity, or brick houses, but it did have a professional photographer who took Andy’s picture, developed the negative, and made a print by sunlight – an extraordinary technological tour de force in difficult circumstances, and a perfect example of ‘it’s what you do with it.’
Andy would like you to notice how thin he used to be.

At the Paris Motor Show with Honda

A little belatedly…

The Honda Team (Kev, Paulo, Chris, Alex) went off to Paris in October to see the official industry unveiling of the new Honda Jazz Hybrid – lots of great work coming in the new year for the launch of this.

Jazz

It's got a lot of room inside. as you can see.

Paulo really enjoyed his conference call too. He could only hear one word in eight, and burnt his ear off on his mobile for three hours #trooper
