In the agency this evening we unveiled a tribute to our much loved and missed former planning director, Martin Cole, who died last year after a battle with cancer.

Tony D said a few words, as did Martin's wife and father.

Unveiling

The tribute is in the form of a large tapestry, made from a patchwork of different fabrics, including some of Martin's own clothes (Martin was known for his colourful garb), topped off with one of his favourite sayings: 'Get it done.' This seems like a good motto by which to remember him.

Get it done

This photo doesn't really do it justice. Will replace soon with a better one.

And here it is now:

Alex Daw, with whom we ran an exhibition earlier in the year here at W+K London, has his eagerly awaited solo exhibition opening this evening.

The private view and artist's reception is from 7pm and promises to be a special event held in the clandestine den that is the Eight Club – a members' club in the heart of the city. There are thirty limited edition signed show posters which will be given away free on a first come first served basis.

Music on the night will include a DJ set from All Night Wong and a live performance from  Rudi Zygadlo  "one of the key players in the future of electronica…." – Not our words, the words of CLASH MAGAZINE.
