Kennedysinterview

There are just four more days to apply to The Kennedys. We’re looking for self-sufficient makers and doers of all types — coders, producers, artists, photographers, and beyond — to join us starting this June. If you’re up for causing some creative pandemonium and working alongside Executive Creative Director Tony Davidson, make sure you submit your application by 15 March.

In the meantime, read on to learn more about a former Kennedy-turned-Art Director at Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam.

Art Director Cecilia Pignocchi arrived at W+K Amsterdam from Italy, where she studied Design and Visual Communications at Università IUAV di San Marino. She’s helped produce some great work for clients like Nike and Spotify since joining. In the interview below, she discusses her experiences as a member of The Kennedys Class of 2015.

1. What were your impressions after a week here in the program?

Cecilia: I wasn’t really sure what I signed up for, but the first day at W+K was enough to make me feel grateful to be a part of this.

2. What was your favourite piece of work you produced here?

Cecilia: A tactical campaign for Nike for high jumper Mutaz Barshim, especially taking our idea and making it come to life.

3. What was the most memorable thing that you guys did in The Kennedys house?

Cecilia: Plantasia. I don’t think I need to add anything. Just watch the video.

4. What was the most surprising thing you learned about yourself while working as a Kennedy?

Cecilia: I’m very meticulous, which means that I always think that I can do better, which means that my level of satisfaction is very hard to reach.

6. What are you working on now?

Cecilia: An exciting project for general aviation aircrafts, while eating and promoting brownies.
