A while ago strategic planner Richard Summers (ex of WK London, now at WK Shanghai) made a trip around China, visiting, interviewing and photographing 50+ people in 6 cities, over 12 days.

You might not have heard of many of the cities: but you will soon. They are among the fastest growing cities in China and undergoing phenomenal change in terms of infrastructure, economy, and society. They're boomtowns – and all part of China's shift from a coastal to inland–led economy. The purpose of the project was to get under the skin of these places and understand what it means for the people who live in them.
