A bag full of APG awards
Slightly late posting this one…
The entire Planning department of W+K went to the Account Planning Group awards last week.
Over a hundred papers were entered from across the world, only 26 got shortlisted (so even being in the mix was a massive achievement for the authors) and we had 3 of those.
Theo Izzard-Brown got a 'bronze' for his work on Cravendale 'Cats with Thumbs'.
Graeme Douglas & Emma Wiseman won 'silver' for their strategic thinking and comms planning excellence on Nike 'Grid'
and the amazingly talented Sophie Dollar won 'Gold' and the special award for 'Best Real-time planning' for the W+K Off/On initiative.
and Paul Colman and Kevin Chesters managed to look immensely smug whilst unfairly trying to take some of the credit for the brilliant work of the above.
Everyone got very drunk, but I think we managed to remain polite and clothed at all times.
Well done to all the other winners – especially the FARC paper from Lowe SSP3 in Colombia which deservedly won Grand Prix on the night.
