Last week saw the Kaiser Chiefs’ team decamped to Cornwall to set up the Falmouth outpost of Wieden + Kennedy. The band have been performing a series of warm up gigs at the Falmouth Princess Pavillion as they prepare for the festival season and star billings at The Isle of Wight & Glastonbury.

Here's the Cornish W+K in full swing:

Alex, Oli, Jen and Michelle have been busy executing the comms plan: read tweeting, Facebooking, capturing content, running fan competitions and printing off bespoke posters created by ‘The Future is Medieval’ album creation tool at http://www.kaiserchiefs.com/

There were also woops of joy as we saw the W+K design work printed on all the tour merchandise from tickets to press passes to T-shirts and set lists.

The fan reactions to the album launch have been amazing and it’s great to hear firsthand how the project has engaged all types from die hard fans to those who have never created anything on the internet.

We even ended the week with a cheeky trip to the Isle of Wight Festival to see them perform (spot our design work). Brilliant.
