A new departure for W+K London as we branch out into the field of music video.

A while ago planner Martin Cole asked around in the London office if anyone wanted to make a music video for his mate’s band, the very hip We Have Band. We jumped on the bandwagon straight away and thought, why not? Let’s make it really hard for ourselves and do a 3 minute stop-frame animation of face paint! Two months and 4816 photos later, it’s here. It’s dark and it’s twisted: the official music video for the single 'You Came Out'.

So, thanks to Martin for initiating the project, Rob Steiner for coordinating and teaming us up with director David Wilson and Blink Ink, Neil Christie for coughing up some money, Nico Engelbrecht for doing the 'making of' film, Ryan Fisher for running the ‘account’, PDX and Renny for advice on seeding and T&K for their enthusiastic support. Also big thanks to Penny and Henry at Smoke & Mirrors and Sam and Vanessa at Speade for all their help.

For those who like the track, you can visit the Flickr page of all the 4816 images and try to find the one that contains the url to a free download of an exclusive remix of the track.

Enjoy!

It says:

The buzz: "Part Hot Chip, part Talking Heads, if Fischerspooner topped Emerge it would sound like this."

The truth: If someone doesn't sign them, and sharp-ish, we'll have a whip round and do it ourselves.
