On Friday Daz and I headed
down to the V&A to give a talk to our hardest audience yet…school children.
We were taking part in Creative Quarter 2008 which is a day where 13 -19 year olds get to learn about the
different professions in the Creative Industries. Daz and I were giving a talk
on working in advertising. There were also lots of
other talks and workshops from companies including, Sony, Passion Pictures and Selfridges.

The V&A was involved
along with Imperial College London, Science Museum, Serpentine Gallery, Royal
Albert Hall, Royal College of Art and Royal College of Music, all the organisations based on Exhibition Road.

We arrived early so Daz
could have a pre talk smoke to calm the nerves. It also gave us a chance to get
to grips with the Starship Enterprise scale technology in the auditorium of the
Sackler Centre – the V&A’s new creative learning hub.

Our audience of school kids
came mostly from London although we did have a small group from Wales who
cheered when they saw our Wales ads.
