On Thursday night Nokia’s state-of-the-art Flagship Store launched on Regent Street in central London, directly across the street from the Apple store. It was a glittering evening with celebs (and the trailing paps) mingling with around 150 invited journalists and technology watchers. Our Meet London launch campaign provided the backdrop to the evening, with Dizzee Rascal, Jaime Winstone, Goldie and Jodie Harsh all lending their own style and insights into the diversity of characters that make London so unique. The store is the first of its kind in the UK and offers customers the chance to experience Nokia’s entire product range with live devices and friendly one-to-one training on offer to everyone.

The Meet London launch project aims to map London though its people rather than its landmarks, demonstrating how Londoners are connected to one another. Londoners are invited to introduce a friend to the city by creating a portrait at www.meet-your-city.com. The portrait is added to the map on London and you can create portrait exhibitions that will be shown in screens inside the Flagship Store.

Fashion photographer, Rankin, who took part in Meet London talked to Vogue.com about his involvement last week saying, "I liked the idea and thought it was an original way of celebrating London – I’m a massive fan of it – and think it’s a great step forward for camera phones, the images are phenomenal."
