We recently received the following email, which will no doubt encourage us to keep making daft things like musical rulers:

Dear Ms. Papworth (sic) and Mr. Davidson:

I’m writing to you both at the suggestion of Ty Montague, who is the friend of a friend. I am a collector of rulers, and last week purchased (on ebay) a copy of "Dan Wieden’s Play in a Day / Guide to Ruler Playing," which Mr.Montague says was issued by W+K in London along with a ruler. What I don’t have is the ruler that goes with the publication, and I would like very much to have one for my collection.

I currently own over 4,000 rulers, but this new acquisition is one of the true treasures. I can’t quite figure out why Mr. Wieden produced the pamphlet, but I can assure you that it brought great joy to my colleagues here today when I exhibited it along with other rulers relating to music, dance, and theatre.
