We’re pleased to announce that Ben Armistead is joining Wieden+Kennedy London as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).
Ben joins the W+K London management team from Grey Group Spain, where he was CSO, working across their Madrid and Barcelona offices. Previously, Ben was Head of Planning at 180 Amsterdam, Global Planning Director at W+K Amsterdam and Senior Planner at DARE. He has also held positions at MCBD and Publicis, London.
Ben’s work for brands including Nike, the Coca-Cola Company, EA Sports, Heineken, United Colors of Benetton, UNICEF and the Metropolitan Police has been awarded more than 75 times by the likes of Cannes Lions, D&AD, the IPAs and Effies. He will start at W+K London at the end of October.
Ben said on joining W+K London: “I’ve always loved an adventure and I’ve been lucky to spend the best part of the last decade leading agencies in different countries and cultures, gaining a truly global sense of our industry.
“I can honestly say there’s only one challenge that could’ve tempted me back onto the London Underground. W+K’s independence, unflinching commitment to creativity, and the courage of the clients it attracts make it a unique place. In every sense, I am delighted to be coming home.”
Our MD Helen added: “We are super excited to be welcoming Ben to the management team. We believe his experience will prove invaluable as we continue to steer the good ship W+K London into exciting new places, and it’s clear Ben is a thoroughly lovely person to have onboard as we do so.”
