Months ago, we announced our search for six chaos-making doers and makers to join us when we launch The Kennedys this June. Today, 18 finalists are in our office, currently presenting back to our people and each other after having been given three creative tasks this morning.

Each of the finalists answered the question “Why Me [for the Kennedys]?”, crafted a visual story out of words and images found in East London, and shared their views on the future of jelly through a range of mediums, from Snapchat films to slideshows to live performance.

Personal, honest, playful, funny, suggestive, and sometimes borderline-apocalyptic in tone — especially when it came to the jelly question — they’ve kept a rapt audience and impressed us with their cleverness. Suffice to say, narrowing the field from 14 to six will be no easy feat. 

Best of luck to our Kennedys finalists today. We look forward to documenting and sharing more about the “crash course in creative chaos” once it kicks off this summer.
