Jackson’s back, and this time around, he has a partner-in-crime: none other than will.i.am. Best known as a musician, will.i.am is also the man behind i.am+, the fashion-technology brand responsible for the dial, a voice activated device available exclusively to the Three network.

“Before Dawn” is a 60” TVC that sees furry Jackson and will.i.am galloping their way through a dark, futuristic cityscape with will’s track “Superdope” as the soundtrack to their adventures. The unlikely cowboys spread word about the dial to curious teens in between action sequences on horseback, including bursting through glass windows and eventually taking flight. (No big deal.)

Pulsating beats, a celebrity cowboy, and everyone’s favourite purple puppet — it’s a fresh way to kick off the weekend.

The music of former W+Ker Laura Lee’s band Khruangbin has been described as everything from “a spellbinding twist on surf rock and soul” (The New Yorker) to “hypnotic” and (The Guardian). Fellow W+K CD Scott — and Khruangbin fan — was so taken by the band’s song “Two Fish and an Elephant” that he concepted an idea to bring it to life as a short film. And so Project Two Fish was born.

The song itself is the story of a long goodbye, but “Two Fish” is also a story about realising a creative vision in reverse — creating a film for a preexisting score. To turn the short film concept to reality, Khruangbin, Scott, and some generous production partners are looking for your help. Check out Project Two Fish’s Kickstarter page to be a part of the project and get some special thank-yous in return: everything from VIP spots at an intimate gig at Shoreditch House, to tickets to see the band open for Father John Misty on tour, to a film credit, and more.
