St Joseph’s Hospice: What Will You Do?

We’ve made a film for St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney, our supported charity, to help them recruit new volunteers. In the film we hear from actual volunteers working at St Joseph’s; there are loads of different ways you can get involved and, as the volunteers testify, it is a truly rewarding experience in a place full of life and great people.

They have two open days coming up this Saturday 4th Feb and on Wednesday 8th Feb, where you can go along and find out more about volunteering – you can sign up for these (free) at the below links:

Make the air fair

We all use a mobile phone and most of us make the most of the services provided by our mobile networks, from sharing cat videos to checking emails. Their ability to give us these competitive products, data packages and services relies on the airwave ‘spectrum’ they are given by Ofcom.

The problem is that the distribution of spectrum between the UK’s mobile networks is currently unbalanced. Almost 70% is concentrated in the hands of just two providers: BT/EE and Vodafone. This is affecting competition in the mobile sector, which ultimately affects the service we all receive.

The UK telecoms regulator, Ofcom, is about to auction off a portion of the airwaves, so our clients over at Three have launched a new campaign – Make The Air Fair – which is calling on the Ofcom CEO, Sharon White, to limit the amount of the airwaves any one company can own to 30%. So far more than 160,000 people have signed up, and now they’re asking for our help. So we’re posting this message.

If you can spare a few minutes it would be great if you could sign the petition here:
