Nike Football's 'Write The Future' campaign, created by W+K, has written some history, according to reports so far.

In one day the film was viewed online 12,000,000 times and Nike Football facebook fans tripled from 1.1 to 3.1 million. It set a new record for most views of a viral video ad in its debut week, according to web video analytics company Visible Measures.

At July 15, the film on Nike's YouTube channel alone had had over 19,500,000 views. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idLG6jh23yE

The success of the campaign has bee widely reported and celebrated, prompting comments such as:

Wieden + Kennedy

Wieden + Kennedy has been appointed as lead global strategic and creative agency for Nokia’s Nseries business following a pitch led by the W+K London office against the incumbent agency.

 

Nokia Nseries is Nokia’s flagship sub-brand, consists of a range of multimedia devices. These are convergence mobile devices supporting digital multimedia services such as music playback, video capture, photography, mobile gaming and Internet services. The convergence device market is growing, currently representing 40 million units a year, and Nokia is the market leader worldwide.

 

Work by W+K will begin immediately, and first communications are expected to roll out in 2009.

Latest Global Campaign
For Nokia Breaks

Launching today, W+K London have created a new global campaign for Nokia. 'Supernova', created by Fabian Berglund and Ida Gronblom and creatively directed by Ben Walker and Matt Gooden, explores the evolved role mobile phones play in our lives, by inviting the audience to interact with the lives of three ficticious characters - Anna, Jade and Luca – in intimate detail, in real time, through their Nokia 7610 handsets.

Launching globally on 15th October the campaign will run in ten different languages, following the characters’ evolving storylines across three time zones, through a 24/7 feed of content, for over 6 weeks. The content will play out at www.somebodyelsesphone.com

fans will be able to learn everything about the characters through their text messages, photos, videos and calls on somebodyelsesphone.com as well as signing up to their Facebook pages to have a more personal interaction.

Andy Stirk, W+K Content Planner said, 'This is more than a handset launch for Nokia, it is about e-engaging with a younger audience by recognising what their phones mean to them'.

Nokia Navigator Campaign
Breaks In India

Wieden + Kennedy has produced its first campaign in India for Nokia. The print broke on 25 April. The campaign, created by Deepak Dogra and Hemant Anant and creatively directed by Guy Featherstone from W+K London, is to run in six major cities across the country including Delhi and Mumbai . The campaign (outdoor and TV ) has been created to launch the first Nokia navigator in India - a very exciting new technology for a country where it's very easy to get lost!
