Emeco Online Showroom
Goes Live

27.09.2007 | New Work

We’ve been working with Emeco on a complete redesign of their website www.emeco.net For the first time, Emeco fans can purchase their favourite aluminum pieces online (if they’re lucky enough to live in North America!). The site is intended to be an online showroom for Emeco’s superb products, enveloped in the brand’s wonderfully unique tone of voice. We’ve aimed to give people an insight into how Emeco’s products are made, handcrafted via the 77-step process, using 80% recycled aluminium. Visitors to the site can also learn more about Emeco’s collaborations with the world’s top designers and architects, like Philippe Starck and Frank Gehry and view our crazy test films, where we put Emeco products through their paces in a demonstration of how tough they really are.

Honda & Nike Win At
Campaign Digital Awards
2007

21.09.2007 | Awards

Wieden + Kennedy London, in partnership with Midas and AKQA have won two awards at the 2007 Campaign Digital Awards. The Nike runlondon.com website won the 'Best Sportswear, Fashion and Clothing' campaign. In a twist on Nike's well-known Run London marketing, last year 30,000 Londoners were invited to compete in a race pitting north London against south London. Wieden + Kennedy and AKQA helped to bring the proposition to life on the runlondon.com website with a series of rich video executions, including crowds from each side beckoning them to join. The site also featured personalised sections with tailored content for north and south London. Thousands of runners signed up and continue to use the website.

Honda also won for 'Hondamentalism' - 'Best Automotive' campaign. Midas, in partnership with Wieden + Kennedy created an online campaign that conveyed Honda's fine pedigree in racing. They built up an interactive experience around a series of games and questions, and helped turn existing Honda advocates into brand champions.

Not without a fight

14.09.2007 | New Work

We produced a campaign for the England Rugby team which launches today on the day of their World Cup match against South Africa. The work has to galvanise the public to support their national team and provide a deeper level of information for rugby fans whilst supporting and motivating the team. The line “Not without a fight’ alludes to their Defending Champion status and the image shows the entire team standing on the cliffs of Dover, preparing to bring a storm to France and all the World Cup matches.

The ad is running as a dps pull out poster in today’s Sun, Times and Guardian. As well as a 4page special in this morning’s Sport magazine. On the flipside of the pullout is a manifesto supporting England’s World Cup stance.

Plus it’s appearing as a mega banner on the Fulham Rd and at Shepherds Bush, key rugby areas. A1 posters are also being handed out in various Rugby pubs later on today before this evening’s kick off.

We’ve taken over itv.com’s rugby hub where you can download the image as screensavers and wallpaper. There are also interviews with several of the key Nike players discussing topics such as their preparation routines, their ambition for the tournament and their pride in representing their country.
