Wieden + Kennedy London was awarded two golds at The Midsummer Awards 2007 on July 6th. These were for 'Illumination', for Orange and 'Out of stock' for Cravendale.
The Midsummer Awards is the only international festival that was founded by working creative people. It is sponsored and organised by people who are themselves in the business of creating and producing films for television and cinema.
The Festival's Board of Governors includes the Heads of Television of most of London's top agencies. Its aim is to encourage and reward creative excellence. This year's jury was headed by Billy Mawhinney, creative director of Leo Burnett. The rest of the jury are all working writers and art directors.

Wieden + Kennedy London has today been appointed as the global lead agency for Nokia. W+K will be responsible for driving creative excellence across Nokia Mobile Phone marketing, and will be responsible for the creation and development of all global campaigns.
Mobile Phones marketing is currently changing its mode of operation with a focus on planning and increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of all marketing activities. The agency review has been an integral part of the marketing change process.

We expect this relationship to help take us to our goal of becoming the most loved and admired iconic brand”, says Jo Harlow, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Mobile Phones, Nokia.
