Following a competitive pitch, Wieden + Kennedy London has won a global assignment from Nokia, the world's leading mobile phone brand.
The agency has been appointed to develop a global brand campaign to coincide with the launch of Nokia's new flagship stores in several locations around the world.
Federico Barbieri, Senior Retail Marketing Initiatives Manager at Nokia, said "Wieden + Kennedy grasped the Nokia brand in a very short time and had strong urban campaign credentials. Both of these make a very good starting point."
Neil Christie, Managing Director of Wieden + Kennedy London, said, "Nokia is a leader and innovator in its field. It's always looking for new and distinctive ways to communicate with its customers and we're excited to be able to help them in achieving that goal."

Following a competitive pitch, Wieden + Kennedy London has been appointed to work with Save the Children.
They are working with the communications team to create campaigns that inspire a greater emotional connection with current supporters and to acquire new supporters.
Save the Children plans to build on its long history of achieving major breakthroughs for children with a significant investment in communications and campaigning in order to acquire new supporters and bringing about change for children.
For almost a century Save the Children has led the way in creating major changes for children. Founder Eglantyne Jebb conceived the idea of the rights of the child, now enshrined in the UN convention. They campaigned for the introduction of school milk and nursery school teaching in the UK and the introduction of family tracing systems reuniting hundreds of thousands of children with their families in times of conflict or disaster across the world.
Save the Children has big ambitions for the future and plans to deliver major change for children. They intend to instigate more support with compelling and coherent campaigning, fundraising and volunteering opportunities. Save the Children is there where it matters, providing help where it's needed and demanding urgent change for children, because children can't wait.
Joe Barrell Head of Communications, Save the Children says, ''Save the Children is a great organisation, with the potential to be even greater. Recently we haven't sufficiently kept pace with the fast moving environment and we haven't invested in promoting achievements, some people are still sceptical about aid work. We have lost the confidence to be ambitious in what we can achieve for children. It is intolerable that children are being denied basic rights. In the past there has been cynicism that things will never change but now the public are beginning to realise that it is within their power to demand and achieve change.''
Neil Christie, Managing Director of Wieden + Kennedy London, said, ''We are very pleased and proud to be working with Save the Children. They have ambitious goals and we look forward to helping them to ensure that those goals are accomplished.''
