Wieden + Kennedy London's Honda film 'The Impossible Dream' picked up the main prize at the Meribel Awards Festival 2006.
Already awarded a 'Crystal' for the best European commercial, The Impossible Dream', also picked up the 'Grand Crystal', the top award of the year, of the 6th Meribel Festival, held from 12th to 17th December. The commercial depicts a journey taken on a series of Honda vehicles, from a monkey bike to a powerboat, climaxing in a dramatic jump over a waterfall and hot-air balloon resurrection. Each of the vehicles featured in the ad represents an 'impossible dream' that Honda turned into a reality.
The same ad also won best commercial of the year at the 2006 British TV Awards, the Grand Prix at the 2006 Clios and a Gold Lion at the 2006 Cannes Festival.

Wieden + Kennedy worldwide was named runner-up international network of the year 2006 in Campaign magazine's annual round-up.
The article noted that although W+K is far from the largest network, 'It wins without question in terms of creative standards.'The article went on to say that in 2006 W+K had 'provided more of the mould-breaking work the industry expects from the agency' and that we had won 'creative and prestigious' new business accounts including The Guardian, Lurpak and Carlsberg.

Wieden + Kennedy London's new Honda campaign breaks this week. It features the Honda robot Asimo (A Study In Mobility).
Asimo is the result of Honda R&D's continuing exploration of new concepts in mobility. Honda has developed the capabilities of Asimo for the past 20 years and the robot - which walks on two legs like a human - is now considered the embodiment of the spirit of technological innovation at Honda.
